Adventures Overland is not new to the world of travel. Year 2013-14 was an epic year which expanded our profile and took us around the world to explore the diversity of landscape, human kind and their habitat. “The Great Indian World Trip” was an extraordinary journey which took us around 6 continents driving 90,000 km in 50 countries. The entire journey was shot to capture our experiences on the road and was broadcasted on DISCOVERY channel in India as a 10 episode travel series.

Our team also humbly boasts of a Guinness World Record for driving the longest distance in a single country (Australia) during this journey and we also hold 7 Limca Records in Adventure category back home. Day 1


Arrive at Helsinki and check in to your hotel. Take rest for a while and get ready for a Helsinki city tour. One of Europe’s most modern and culturally progressive cities, Helsinki, remain in touch with an intriguing history stretching back over 450 years.
Visit Senate Square and Lutheran cathedral, elegant Uspenski Cathedral, unique Temppeliaukio Rock Church, Sibelius Monument, marquet square and more.

Overnight in Helsinki.

Day 2

Helsinki – Tallin,Estonia by ferry

Post breakfast check out and you will be transferred to Tallin by a ferry ride. There are plenty of sights to visit while in Tallin. Dome Cathedral, Parliament, Long Hermann tower, Holy Trinity Church, Dominican Monastery, Town Hall Square, Great Coastal Gate, and Fat Margaret and much more.
Post lunch transfer back to port in order to take Overnight Ferry Cruise to Stockholm. Enjoy your on board buffet dinner.

Day 3

Arrive in Stockholm

After a sumptuous breakfast on board before you arrive at the port and a city tour of Stockholm. Stockholm is a city of contrasts. Trends in music, design, fashion, and technology are born here, and innovations that spread worldwide are invented here. Stockholm also has a rich history comprising gorgeous architecture, museums, the Royal Palace and the medieval urban core of Gamla Stan. Trendy bars and world-class restaurants are shoulder-to-shoulder with historic cafes and cozy neighborhood pubs. Stockholm is simultaneously urban and close to nature; water is an ever-present feature in this city where lake and sea meet. Post tour, check in to your hotel and relax in the evening.

Day 4

Stockholm – Oslo – Tromso

Post breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Oslo for a city tour. Visit the main points of interest in the city such as the Vigeland Sculpture Park, The Holmenkollen Ski Jump and the Viking Ship Museum. After the museum visit, you will be transferred back to the airport for your flight to Tromso. Check in to your hotel and relax in the evening.

Day 5

Hurtigruten Crusie Ride

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and you may then visit the Arctic Cathedral polar Museum/Tromso Gondola/Polaria Arctic aquarium/ Mack Brewery (optional) or simply take rest.
Later check in at the Hurtigruten Cruise for a ride of a lifetime!

Day 6


As you cruise along the coast line you can see the North Cape, Fishing Stations, Bird Cliffs, Finkjerka Mountain formation. You can also go snow mobiling on the shows and with some luck might spot the auroras.

Day 7

Glass Igloos!

Post breakfast on boards you will arrive at Kirkeness and transferred to Levi. You will spend the night in glass igloos which are located in the Arctic Circle, far from the city lights of Lapland.
You might be lucky for a great northern lights show while in the comfort and warmth of your igloos.

Day 8

Visit to Husky Farms

There is some more adventure in store for you! You cannot leave Finland without handling your own team of huskies. You will be welcomed to the farm with friendly husky barks and once you are set to depart on the sledges, they very efficiently will calm down and get to work. Hold on tight, these huskies love to run! Enjoy the silence enveloping the surroundings. After the safari, you can take out your cameras and capture the beauty around you. Pet the adorable huskies as you say goodbye to them. Overnight in Levi.

Day 9

Reindeer Farm visit

Today during your visit to the reindeer farm, you will get to experience the spirit and distinctive feature of the life of Samis. You can meet the reindeers and even feed them. You can talk to the farm hosts and learn about their lives. That is not all! You get to ride your own reindeer sleigh.

Day 10

Ice Fishing Experience

Post breakfast, set out on a breathtaking tour on Snowmobiles through deep forests and explore the beautiful area around Levi. Drill a hole in the ice and try to “catch” your own lunch.

Day 11

Snow Castle

Hop on the Sampo bus from Rovaniemi to Kemi in the morning. Enjoy the wintry Snow Castle – snow and ice sculptures, outdoor activities and the Nordic atmosphere of the Castle. Visit the Snow Castle Exhibition and relax in the Snow Restaurant, enjoying a 3-course meal served at ice tables, and overnight at Kemi city.

Day 12

Sampo Cruise; Icebreaker!

The Sampo, the former icebreaker for the Finnish government, offers a unique cruise experience on the Gulf of Bothnia. The union of the majestic steel, ice and the sea will be unlike anything else you’ve ever experienced. It’s your day to experience the Sampo in the midst of vast open arctic sea-scenery!
The four-hour cruise includes a guided tour, a delicious meal, and the possibility for the famously exciting experience of swimming amongst ice, dressed in survival suits. After the cruise, bus transfer back to Rovaniemi.

Day 13

Korouoma Gorge, Posio

Post breakfast make a day trip to the Korouoma gorge in Posio, where the mightiest ice falls in Finland are located – some up to 60 metres tall! You will be taken to Korouoma by car, and led to the Mammutti ice fall where you will have a chance of climbing lines of moderate or more advanced climb safely on toprope. You will be provided with the necessary gear and instruction. You will need to carry personal outdoor clothing, suitable for the weather. Return back to your hotel and let the day’s tiredness end with a rejuvenating sauna bath.

Day 14

City Tour of Rovaniemi , Visiting Santa Claus Village

Post breakfast you will set out for a city tour. You can meet Santa Claus and cross the magical Arctic Circle. Yes, it is not just during Christmas that you get lucky to meet Santa. He spends his entire year in the village to enhance the well being of children and kindness of grown-ups, spreading the message of love and goodwill.
Post lunch you will visit the Arktikum Museum. It will enlighten you on Arctic issues and stories of Lapland. It will educate you on the Lappish culture, history and nature from Rovaniemi to the further reaches of Upper Lapland. It is a complete source of knowledge when travelling to the North. Later catch your flight back to Helsinki.

Day 15

Tour to Porvoo

Porvoo is Finland’s second oldest town, a beautiful city full of history. The timeless and unique atmosphere in Old Porvoo attracts travellers from all over the world. The settlement in the Porvoo region began in the 13th and 14th centuries, and the town is mentioned in documents in the early 14th century. The Old Town provides one of Porvoos most colourful sights and tourist attractions. Old Porvoo is famous for its narrow lanes and brick-coloured riverside warehouses.

Day 16

Fly back

It is time to bid goodbye and head towards your hometown. You go back with an everlasting memory and with a promise to come back soon!
