Arrival In Anchorage
Your Alaska trip begins today in the city that lies in the heart of Alaska, Anchorage. It is a bustling city and the gateway to Alaskan adventures. The city offers convenient urban comforts, mesmerizing outdoor spaces, and captivating arts and culture. Find sparkling glaciers, abundant wildlife, vast parks and trails, and dazzling northern lights. A trip to Anchorage opens doors to the best of Alaska, all in one place. You will meet your tour guide at the airport who will take you to the hotel and brief you on all the exciting stuff in store for you in the days to come. Spend the rest of your guide resting and getting over the jet lag or head out for a stroll and start soaking in the magical air of Alaska!
Anchorage – Denali National Park
After a hearty breakfast, get ready to embark on a journey that you are bound to remember for the rest of your life! Be prepared to be stunned, overwhelmed, and spellbound as you are about to witness some of the most scenic and spectacular views of Alaska on your way to Denali National Park. Soak in the fresh air, the cool wind, and the stunning landscapes all around you as you explore the great Alaskan countryside crossing idyllic towns, tiny villages, friendly locals, and stunning vistas on way to Denali. You will be transported into a whole new world as you reach Denali National Park. Check into your gorgeous hotel and enjoy the spectacular views of Denali from your room!
Denali National Park
On the third day of our Alaska custom tour package, you will explore the Denali National Park, which for many travellers is the beginning and end of their Alaskan adventure. The 6 million acres of wilderness, spruce forest, and glaciers, Denali is home to North America’s tallest peak, Mount Denali which is brimming with wildlife of all shapes and sizes. With terrain of tundra, spruce forest, and glaciers, the park is home to wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep. So, get your cameras ready as you may get an overload of nature at its best! We have planned an 8 hour round trip of this magnificent park complete with a picnic lunch. After the excursion, retire in your luxury hotel and rejuvenate for the exciting journey ahead.
Denali – Fairbanks
For enhanced curated travel experiences, we select accommodations, restaurants, and activities to create the perfect trip based on your individualized interests. Enjoy breakfast in the restaurant while looking at stunning views of Denali National Park and then hit the road once again to drive further north towards Fairbanks; the drive to Fairbanks is dotted with stunning landscapes that’ll blow your mind. After reaching Fairbanks by evening, enjoy a unique dinner at the famous Alaska Salmon Bake Restaurant in Pioneer Park, a unique place that lets you walk back to an era when gold was king and narrow-gauge railroads were the way to get around. You’ll find museums, a riverboat, a native Alaskan village, a mining operation, and more. As the night closes in, look up towards the sky and if you are lucky, you might get to witness the magnificent Northern Lights!
Fairbanks – Arctic Circle Sign – Fairbanks
We have a challenging but a unique trip ahead of us today on the Dalton Highway aka The Haul Road. You will drive on one of the most isolated and remote roads of the US with nothing for miles except the tundra, gravel roads, oil tankers, the Alaskan Pipeline, and the limitless sky for company. Be prepared for a most testing yet rewarding drive on the road manned primarily by truckers hauling oil from the town of Deadhorse to mainland US as you head towards the Arctic Circle. As you reach the geographic Arctic Circle, you will become part of a rare group of travelers who have managed to reach the isolated gateway to the polar region. Spend some time enjoying this historic moment in your Alaska customized holiday tour, take loads of pictures, and then start heading back towards Fairbanks.
Fairbanks – Anchorage (Alaska Railroad Gold Star Service)
This is the last leg of our incredible Alaska trip. The Denali Star, Alaska Railroad’s flagship train, links Fairbanks to Anchorage with stops in Denali National Park, Talkeetna, and Wasilla. On this route, sparkling salmon streams and stands of birch and spruce come into view, while carpets of fireweed add dramatic purple to the landscape. These bi-level cars feature glass dome ceilings giving you a full 360-degree view. This is particularly impressive when you get to watch an eagle soaring directly overhead from the comfort of your seat! This train also boasts of an open viewing platform on the upper level (the only of its kind in the world) so that you can capture some of the best photos displaying the incredible views of the wild landscapes along the tracks. A full-time bar attendant is available to those looking for libations. Ah! What more could you ask for?
Free Day In Anchorage
Explore the beautiful city of Anchorage at leisure as you shop for souvenirs at the local markets but if you are up for more adventures, make your way towards Lake Hood – the largest floating plane airport in the world for a unique and once in a lifetime experience! Hop on a Float Plane for a joy ride and enjoy a bird’s eye view of this gorgeous city. That is not all! If you are interested in whale watching, you may take an excursion to Seward or Whittier. Countless whales spend the summer feeding near Alaska shores; views of these mighty mammals are best in the waters near Anchorage. You can also visit the Alaska Zoo, home to more than 100 birds and mammals representing some 50 species and witness unique Alaskan wildlife including the rare Polar Bear!

It is time to head back home, but with a heart full of memories and many excuses to come back again!
