Itinerary

DAY 01

Arrival at San Francisco

Upon arrival at San Francisco Airport, we will transfer you to your hotel in a private car where you will meet your tour guide. San Francisco is one of the highlights of our USA West Coast customized holiday package because it is home to a little bit of everything. Whether you are a first time visitor or a local, Golden Gate welcomes all. Visit Alcatraz, a former prison and go see the world-famous Fisherman’s Wharf. The city’s well-known hills offer stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay and feature a wide array of shops, restaurants, and cosmopolitan nightlife. In addition to this, San Francisco is a gateway to Silicon Valley, America’s premier high-technology center. Relax at the hotel after your long and tiring journey with a comfortable overnight stay or you can choose to head into town and experience the local nightlife!

DAY 02

San Francisco

After enjoying a scrumptious breakfast, start exploring the city of San Francisco. You will be visiting many of San Francisco’s attractions including the world famous Golden Gate Bridge. Continue your tour of the city on the Golden Gate Bay cruise and have lunch on the waterfront at Sausalito or a picnic on the beach. After lunch, board a ferry from Fisherman’s Wharf to Alcatraz and take a tour through the corridors of this former prison, listening to stories of former prisoners and prison guards, also one of the highlights of your USA West Coast custom tour package. Conclude your day with a visit to Pier 39, a buzzing tourist spot with lots of shops, restaurants, a video arcade, street performances, the Aquarium of the Bay, virtual 3D rides, and views of California sea lions hauled out on docks on Pier 39’s marina.

DAY 03

San Francisco to Napa Valley

On day three, the real action begins. The road trip flags off in classic American style. Your first pit stop is just 100 km north of San Francisco. Napa sits at the southern end of the scenic Napa Valley, one of the most popular wine regions in the world. Spend a couple of hours in Napa and head towards Safari West in Santa Rosa which is about an hour’ drive from Napa. Spend time walking around and tasting some of the best wines produced in this area. There is a lot more to do: explore The Hess Collection Winery & Art Museum, walk around Sonoma Plaza, learn about winemaking at V. Sattui Winery, and get interesting insights about wine in general. If wines are your passion, you might enjoy a private wine-tasting tour!

100 KM 02.00 hours
DAY 04

Napa Valley – Yosemite National Park

Today, you will proceed towards Yosemite National Park, yet another destination to check off from your personalized itineraries of USA West Coast. The drive from Napa Valley to Yosemite National Park is absolutely stunning and it will treat you with nature is at its best. Enjoy the drive and take as many stops as you wish at the numerous scenic spots along the way. In a few hours, you will reach the park and check into your hotel. The most popular area of this epic National Park is the main “Valley” area with its gigantic rock faces, crystal clear waters and staggering vista points. Be sure to leave enough time to marvel at the giant redwood trees of Mariposa Grove to the south and then travel up to Glacier Point for sunset – possibly the best view of the entire road trip.

280 KM 04.00 hours
DAY 05

Yosemite National Park

Enjoy a full day exploring the Yosemite National Park. First protected in 1864, Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more. Visit the Tunnel View for spectacular vistas of El Capitan, Bridalveil Falls and Half Dome. Keen hikers can take an 8 hour strenuous climb to the top of Yosemite Falls, although you can still enjoy some of the best views only two miles in to the hike. The powerful Vernal Falls can only be seen on foot along a one-mile trail head but if you wish you can continue to top of the waterfall or along the mist trail.

DAY 06

Yosemite National Park – Mammoth Lakes

Continue your American journey towards the Mammoth Lakes. Majestic in scale and awesome in its natural beauty, the year-round adventure land is one of those rare places that you have to see! Mammoth Lakes offers breathtaking mountains, expanse of the valleys, numerous crystal clear mountain lakes and endless opportunities for adventure. Whether it’s hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, climbing and mountaineering, kayaking, a round of golf, fishing or just sightseeing, there are plenty of activities and festivals celebrating this transitional beauty. Mammoth Lakes is also home to world-famous Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, one of the official training mountains of the U.S. Olympic Team. 325 KM 06.00 hours

DAY 07

Mammoth Lakes

Adventure is available year-round in Mammoth Lakes. In fact, there is a lot of debate about which season is the best to visit this unique region. During winters, you can ski and snowboard Mammoth Mountain or take off into the wilderness on your cross-country skis. When spring hits, you can ski and also celebrate the fishing opener on the same day. The summer melts away the snow, opening roads to Devils Postpile National Monument, 101-foot Rainbow Falls and the gateway to Yosemite National Park. Some claim that autumn is the best season because you get all of the sightseeing of summer plus spectacular fall colors and fewer visitors. No matter what time of year you visit, there are plenty of things to do in Mammoth Lakes.

Enjoy some of the best musical shows in the luxury hotels on “The Strip”, pose in front of Eiffel Tower, witness the famous Bellagio Fountain, or take a helicopter ride at night over the strip.
