Set off from Christchurch and enjoy the drive through the picturesque Canterbury Plains where the route offers a blend of rolling hills and coastal scenery.

As we head towards Kaikoura. The drive takes us along the scenic Pacific coastline, where the rugged cliffs and crashing waves provide a dramatic backdrop. As we approach Kaikoura, the majestic Southern Alps rise in the distance, creating a stunning contrast against the deep blue of the ocean. Upon arrival, check into your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Immerse yourself in the natural wonders of Kaikoura with a day dedicated to its breathtaking wildlife and coastal beauty. We will begin our day with an unforgettable whale-watching tour, where you’ll set sail into the deep blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. Keep your eyes peeled for the majestic sperm whales, okras and even dolphins which are known to frequent these waters.

Next, head to the local seal colony, where you can observe these playful and curious creatures in their natural habitat. The seals bask on the rocky shores and frolic in the surf, providing endless entertainment and fantastic photo opportunities.

We leave Kaikoura’s dramatic coastline behind and set off toward Nelson, a drive that takes us through winding roads, lush vineyards, and breathtaking mountain scenery. As we approach, the golden sunlight over rolling hills welcomes us to New Zealand’s sunniest city.

Famous for its thriving arts scene, stunning beaches, and award-winning wineries, Nelson is a place that instantly feels warm and inviting. In the afternoon, we’ll explore some of the region’s finest vineyards, tasting crisp Sauvignon Blancs and rich Pinot Noirs.

In the evening, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the charming town, visit local art galleries, or relax by the waterfront before returning to the hotel and retiring for the night.

Leaving Nelson behind, we hit the road toward Punakaiki, and the drive takes us through lush forests, winding rivers, and along the rugged West Coast. As the landscapes shift from rolling vineyards to dramatic coastal cliffs, every turn offers breathtaking views.

Punakaiki is best known for its incredible Pancake Rocks and blowholes—limestone formations that have been sculpted by the ocean over millions of years. These unique rock formations, shaped like stacked pancakes, create a mesmerizing spectacle as the waves crash against them, sending sprays of water into the air.

Upon arrival in Punakaiki, we’ll settle into our beachside hotel, where the sound of the waves sets the perfect mood for a relaxing evening. Enjoy a delicious dinner with fresh local flavors followed by an overnight stay.

After a peaceful morning in Punakaiki, we set off on a beautiful drive to Franz Josef Glacier. The road winds along the wild West Coast, where the Tasman Sea crashes against rugged cliffs on one side, and dense rainforest stretches out on the other. Waterfalls tumble down rocky hills, and rivers snake through the valleys, making every turn a sight to remember.

As we get closer, the scenery shifts—towering mountains and glacial rivers welcome us into Franz Josef. Once we arrive, we’ll check into our accommodation and take the evening to relax. Whether you choose to take a stroll through town, enjoy a warm meal, or simply unwind, the night is yours to rest before the next adventure.

We start the day with an unforgettable adventure—a thrilling helicopter ride over Franz Josef Glacier. As we soar above the towering ice formations, the breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, deep crevasses, and shimmering blue ice make for an experience like no other.

After landing on the glacier, we step out onto the ice and take in the surreal landscape. Once our glacier experience comes to an end, we hit the road toward our next destination, Wānaka.

The drive takes us through some of New Zealand’s most spectacular landscapes. We wind through lush rainforests, cross rushing rivers, and pass mirror-like lakes before entering the stunning Haast Pass. Waterfalls tumble down rugged cliffs, and the golden hills of Otago greet us as we approach Wānaka.

Arriving in the charming lakeside town, we check into our accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

We start the day with a visit to Lake Wānaka, where the calm, clear waters reflect the surrounding mountains—a perfect place to take in the beauty of nature. Next, we stop at a lovely lavender farm, where rows of purple flowers stretch out around us, filling the air with a sweet, relaxing scent. It’s a great spot to enjoy a peaceful walk and capture some beautiful photos.

After this, we begin our drive toward Mount Cook, passing through some of New Zealand’s most stunning scenery. As we travel through Lindis Pass, the hills turn golden and stretch far into the distance. Soon, we reach the bright blue waters of Lake Pukaki, with Mount Cook’s towering peak appearing on the horizon—a truly breathtaking sight.

Finally, we arrive in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, surrounded by tall mountains and glacial valleys. We check into our accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

We begin our journey from Mount Cook to Queenstown, travelling through some of New Zealand’s most breathtaking landscapes. The drive takes us past the stunning blue waters of Lake Pukaki, offering one last view of the towering peaks behind us. As we continue, we pass through the charming town of Twizel and the rolling farmlands of the Mackenzie Basin before reaching the vibrant shores of Lake Dunstan.

The scenery keeps changing as we wind through the rugged Kawarau Gorge, where steep cliffs and rushing river rapids make for a dramatic sight. Finally, we arrive in Queenstown, known as the adventure capital of New Zealand. Nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and surrounded by the Remarkables mountain range, this lively town is famous for its thrilling activities, breathtaking scenery, and vibrant atmosphere.

Upon arrival, we check into our accommodation and enjoy a delicious dinner before settling in for the night.

Today is all about adventure in Queenstown! We kick things off with an adrenaline-pumping Shotover Jet ride through the stunning Shotover Canyon. Hold on tight as we speed through narrow rocky gorges, twisting and turning with heart-racing spins over the rushing waters—it’s an experience like no other!

After the jet boat ride, the rest of the day is yours to explore. If you’re up for more thrills, Queenstown is the perfect place for it! You can take the ultimate leap with a bungee jump, free-fall over breathtaking landscapes with a skydiving experience, or simply wander through town, soaking in the lively atmosphere.

In the evening, return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Our final adventure takes us to the breathtaking Milford Sound. We take a scenic flight over snow-capped peaks, deep valleys, and sparkling lakes, soaking in the raw beauty of Fiordland National Park.

Upon landing, we set sail on a peaceful cruise through the fjord, surrounded by towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls. Seals bask on the rocks, dolphins glide alongside the boat, and if we're lucky, we might even spot a rare penguin.

After the cruise, we fly back to Queenstown for a special farewell dinner. As we gather one last time, we share stories, laughter, and memories of an unforgettable journey—one that has left us with new friendships and experiences to cherish forever.

After a final breakfast in the beautiful surroundings of Queenstown, it’s time to say goodbye. With hearts full of memories and cameras full of stunning photos, we bid farewell to this incredible journey.
